Why it is built this way

One relationship, every capability.

Mauritian law licenses investment advice, fiduciary services and management company activities separately. A firm cannot hold them all in one entity. The Group therefore has one company for each, regulated for that activity, with a shared ownership and a shared office in Beau Plan. Together they give a client investment, banking and fiduciary capability in one relationship, across six offices.

For a client, the benefit is that the investment adviser, the trustee and the corporate administrator are in the same building, answer to the same board and report to you in one pack. The safeguard is that each is separately licensed, separately audited and separately accountable to the regulator.

History

Graeme Robertson established the Group's first Mauritian company in 1997 and founded the Intrasia Group in 2005, after more than two decades leading New Hope Corporation and developing Adaro Indonesia and Indonesia Bulk Terminal. Through Intrasia Capital the Group was one of the largest shareholders of AfrAsia Bank from the bank's early years, with Graeme Robertson on its board, until the Group exited in 2025 when The Access Bank UK acquired a majority stake. Intrasia Wealth was established later as the Group's investment arm and is licensed in Mauritius and South Africa. In February 2026 Intrasia Wealth and Acacia Wealth, an FCA-authorised financial planning firm in London, announced a strategic commercial partnership with an equity collaboration, giving the Group a regulated presence for UK clients and Acacia's clients access to Intrasia's international reach.

Where the Group is

Head office at The Strand 3, Beau Plan, Pamplemousses, Mauritius. Offices at Parc du Cap, Bellville, Cape Town; London; Carpenter Street, Singapore; Barsha Heights, Dubai; and New York. Only the Mauritius and Cape Town offices are regulated for investment services; UK clients are served through Acacia Wealth's FCA authorisation. The Singapore, Dubai and New York offices support the Group's corporate, structuring and representation work and do not provide investment advice.

Questions we are asked

Frequently asked

Who owns the Intrasia Group?
The Group is privately owned. It was founded by Graeme Robertson, who chairs it.
Which entity am I a client of?
For investment management, Intrasia Wealth Limited. For a trust, foundation or company, Intrasia Management. For a permit or property purchase, start.mu. Each engagement has its own agreement with the licensed entity that delivers it.
Why are there several companies rather than one?
Because each activity is licensed separately by the regulator. Investment advice, fiduciary services and management company activities are distinct licences under Mauritian law, and combining them in one entity is not permitted.
Where is the Group headquartered?
Beau Plan, Pamplemousses, Mauritius, with offices in Cape Town, London, Singapore, Dubai and New York. Investment advice and portfolio management are provided only from Mauritius and Cape Town, and in the United Kingdom through Acacia Wealth; the Singapore, Dubai and New York offices are not regulated for investment services.
