How it works
Expertise without giving up control.
We first assess whether our advice is suitable for you: your circumstances, objectives, knowledge and experience, and capacity for loss. Together we then define a strategy aligned to your objectives, risk tolerance and time horizon. Your adviser then brings you written recommendations drawn from our in-house research across shares, bonds, ETFs, funds, hedge funds and structured products, and bespoke opportunities where they suit you. You approve; we implement and report.
Who it suits
Clients who enjoy being involved, who have views of their own, or who hold positions they want to keep and have advised around.
The facts
| Availability | From Mauritius under our FSC licence, and in South Africa under our FSCA licence, where South African residents are advised on a non-discretionary basis (see South Africa). Available to clients in other countries where local law permits; not to clients in the United Kingdom, who are served by Acacia Wealth. See our terms for other restrictions. |
|---|---|
| Custody | Independent, regulated third-party custody. Account held in the client's name. Custodian and charges confirmed before account opening. |
| Instruments | Shares, bonds, ETFs, funds, hedge funds and structured products, drawn from the whole market |
| Decisions | Yours, on written recommendations from your adviser |
| Reporting | Quarterly, plus a note with every recommendation |
| Fee | Annual fee on assets, see Fees. Any fee or benefit we receive from a product provider is disclosed to you in writing before you invest. |
| Risks | The value of the portfolio can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you invested. Past performance is not a guide to future returns. Holdings in currencies other than your base currency carry exchange-rate risk. Hedge funds and structured products can be complex, harder to sell quickly and exposed to the issuer's credit risk; we recommend them only where they are suitable for you. Because you make each decision, the outcome also depends on whether and when you act on our recommendations. |
